This first annual report of the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities (CRCWSC) highlights substantial achievements in 2012–13 establishing a solid base for continued success over the lifetime of the CRCWSC to 2021.

Key aspects of CRC governance have been established, including: Board Committees, Stakeholder Committees, and Research Committees. In addition, the CRC now has elements in place to meet the many administrative demands, including all essential reporting and financial management commitments. In early 2013 the Board and Executive settled on vision and mission statements for the CRC - “sustainable, resilient, and liveable water sensitive cities”is a vision with global relevance, for communities in cities small and large.

The level of direct engagement with participants through the Industry Partners Workshops and Researchers Workshops has been encouraging. The CRC now involves more than 70 participating organisations, distributed across three major hubs and partnered with a number of international researchers.
