If you would like to speak at the world’s biggest event in urban drainage—the 15th IWA/IAHR International Conference on Urban Drainage (ICUD), Melbourne, 6–11 September 2020—you can now lodge an extended abstract.

The ICUD 2020 Committee is seeking abstracts that are relevant to sustainable urban drainage. The following broad themes may guide your ideas for submission:

  • Integrated urban water management
  • Water sensitive urban design and green infrastructure systems and source control
  • Urban drainage modelling and uncertainty
  • Urban flooding and risks
  • Sewer process and networks
  • Receiving water body/environmental impacts
  • Real time control
  • Policy, regulation and society
  • Urban drainage asset management.

Speakers may make an oral or poster presentation.

For more information, and updates on the abstract submission process, please see the ICUD event website. You can read more about the event in our earlier WaterSENSE article.

We’re an event co-host

The CRCWSC will be co-hosting the event, alongside our colleagues at Monash University, the University of New South Wales, and The University of Melbourne. We’re looking forward to showcasing our achievements to an international audience, and fostering further international collaborations in advancing water sensitive cities in Australia and globally.
