ABC Radio National’s Big Ideas show presenter Paul Barclay will host a panel of experts including CRCWSC Chief Executive Professor Tony Wong to discuss the topic of Resilient Cities at a free event in Brisbane at 3:30pm on Wednesday 9 March.

The panel will bring together research and industry professionals tasked with planning our cities of the future and coping with managing those cities and communities when disaster hits.

Professor Wong will be joined by Commissioner of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Katarina Carroll APM, City of Sydney Chief Resilience Officer, Beck Dawson, and Curtin University Professor of Sustainability, Peter Newman.

The panel, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in the Boulevard Auditorium, will be the closing event for the  Cooperative Research Centres Association ’s national conference
