Cities are increasingly taking charge of transitioning to new, climate-resilient economies – and Perth is no exception.

In 2017, the theme of transition is also especially relevant for the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities (CRCWSC). We are moving beyond the midway point in our Commonwealth funding, leaving us particularly keen to share new developments, tools, and fast-emerging projects with our partners and communities.

CEO Professor Tony Wong shared some of the CRCWSC’s progress since the 2015 WSC Conference in Brisbane, framed as measures of impact across 4 criteria: publications and awards, building capacity within industry, influencing policy reform, and translating evidence into works on ground. Examples included a 2016 national needs and opportunities roadshow, our contribution to the Victoria Water Plan, the CRCWSC’s first award as an organisation, and the milestone of our 1000th publication.
