Rising to the challenge at Stormwater 2016
With registrations closing in less than three weeks, industry and research partners are encouraged to book their place at Stormwater 2016.
Featuring the theme of ‘Rising to the Challenge’, the 4th National Conference of Stormwater Australia is being held at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort.
Five CRC for Water Sensitive Cities PhD candidates will join industry and research experts presenting at the conferenceand from 29 August to 2 September.
PhD candidates presenting at the conference include Carl Davies on ‘Urban Subsoil Drainage as an Alternative Water Source in a Drying Climate’; Don Williams on ‘ The Influence of Statutory Land Use Planning on the Adoption of Water Sensitive Urban Design Practices’; Tanveer Adyel on ‘Constructed wetlands to support urban waterway protection from stormwater pollutants’; Gelareh Khakbaz on ‘Effect of hydrologic variability on the macrophyte assemblage within a constructed wetland’; and Tracey Schultz on ‘Visual Images that Engage People with Water Sensitive Urban Design’.
The students will be share the podium with CRCWSC researchers including Ross Allen, Lindsey Beck, Dr Angela Dean, Dr Miriam Agullo-Barcelo and Linda Choi, and participants such as e2Designlab, GHD, City of Port Phillip and Essential Environmental.
