Clearwater-CRCWSCEventJan2015-26Researchers from the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities (CRCWSC) invite you to attend a workshop on collaboration between academics and industry using field experiments on Friday 8 May at the Monash University Law Chambers in Melbourne.

CRCWSC environmental economists at the workshop will lead a discussion of how field experiments are used in economics to improve evidence-based public policy. Participants will also learn about the objectives and needs of government and industry partners to find areas of mutual interest.

The workshop will be informative and relevant for local government and industry partner representatives such as council sustainability or environmental managers, economists from industry and government, planners and developers, and conservation or efficiency managers at water authorities. CRCWSC researchers working on the design of green infrastructure who are interested in implementing their work are also welcome to attend.

Projects being presented include using social norms for water conservation, funding of public projects through crowdfunding, reducing urban heat island effects and energy consumption through green infrastructure and using incentives to improve nonmarket valuation.

The workshop will feature research and outcomes from the Economic Modelling and Analysis project (A1).
