On 26 November, Stormwater NSW hosted an industry seminar on liveability. The event was attended by 40 people from councils, agencies and private industry.

Speakers included Jamie Ewert of the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities, as well as Sydney Water, the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure and the Water Services Association of Australia. Presentations explored the meaning of liveability, the benefits it brings to communities as well as the services and planning decisions that can enhance liveability in our cities.

The panel discussion particularly focussed on the way that liveability can be achieved through the integration of water and urban planning, and the opportunities to achieve this through current Government policy initiatives in NSW and Victoria.
