On Friday 25 October, Clearwater presented its second Hot Topics event for 2013: Evaluating the costs and benefits of integrated water cycle management.

Presenting at the event was Dr Paul Raschky of the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities along with Yarra Valley Water, Aither Consultants and Melbourne Water. They shared current challenges in evaluating integrated water cycle management projects, and the ability to place a financial sum on intangible values like liveability and amenity to create a cost-benefit analysis. The MC for the event was Jamie Ewert, the CRC’s Regional Executive Director (Southern Region).

The event attracted around 60 people from 30 organisations, including state and local government, water authorities, water retailers and consultancies. It featured a number of networking activities and discussion sessions providing attendees with the opportunity to work together and share their knowledge and experiences throughout the day.
