Two exciting opportunities exist at the Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI): Professor and Deputy Director, Research; and Professor and Deputy Director, Enterprise.

Professor and Deputy Director, Research

This senior academic role will lead MSDI’s interdisciplinary research strategy by facilitating and stimulating multi-faculty research projects. A key focus will be driving a program of engagement and building relationships with faculties in order to co-develop high quality projects that support MSDI’s strategic agenda to address sustainable development challenges. The successful candidate will have an international outlook and a strong academic track record of publishing and grant success. In addition they will have a strong reputation for building successful interdisciplinary research teams.

Professor and Deputy Director, Enterprise

As an academic member of the MSDI executive team, the successful candidate will lead the Institute’s impact and engagement strategy increasing the relevance and use of MSDI’s research and education agenda. Working in a high performing and engaged Institute, across government, industry and society, this role is focused on maximising the value of MSDI’s partnerships and networks to increase the uptake and utilisation of research and education in policy and practice. The successful candidate will bring exceptional engagement capability and will also lead the Institute's program of endowments.
