A Flood Community of Practice workshop (QLD) – Tools that help create water sensitive cities
|
This event hosted by the Flood Community of Practice in collaboration with the CRC Water Sensitive Cities will introduce you to their Tools and Products program. At this event we will hear from industry specialists and see how these tools are being applied for better managing impacts arising from changing urban form and achieving attractive livability outcomes. For example:
- a Scenario Platform Tool will show the benefits of various street tree arrangements in terms of stormwater management –Sally Boer – E2Design lab
- use an economic analysis framework to evaluate alternate water supply & treatment opportunities in a master-planned setting – Tony McAlister – Water Technology
- options on urban heat management – Alan Hoban – Bligh Tanner
In bringing together a group of SEQ urban design & water management professionals the workshop aims to seek some feedback on the utility of these tools and how they align, or not, with your needs in implementation tasks and for decision making colleagues.
