Training Seminar 1—Using the Scenario tool to inform urban policy—South Australian case study

Description: Find out how the Scenario tool can test policy scenarios to mitigate urban heat. 

Have you heard about our Scenario tool?

Developed as part of the Tools and Products (TAP) project, the tool is designed to help practitioners evaluate and compare water sensitive urban development options and approaches, and their multi-faceted impacts. The aim is to deliver insights to help practitioners strategically plan complex urban systems.

Do you know how it works? 

Each month, we’ll host a training seminar on how the tool can help inform urban policy. The TAP team will walk through how you can use the tool to test policy scenarios in a city that’s undergoing heat stress. The first session (running 1 May) will use a South Australian city as a case study. We’ll help you understand how variations in tree canopy cover and different urban development scenarios, for example, affect urban heat outcomes. It’s a great opportunity to interact with the TAP team and ask questions about using the tool in practice.
