ICUC9-CRCWSC-groupNine members of the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities (CRCWSC) Urban Climate group received an overwhelming response to their presentations at the 9th International Conference on Urban Climate in Toulouse last month.

The conference is a biennial event organised by the International Association for Urban Climate and experienced one of its biggest years on record with more than 570 attendees and 630 papers presented. The conference was held alongside the American Meteorological Society’s 12th Symposium on the Urban Environment.

Water Sensitive Urbanism (Program B) Leader Professor Nigel Tapper was joined by two post-doctoral researchers (Andy Coutts and Matthias Demuzere) and six PhD candidates (Charlie Lam, Stephanie Jacobs, Kerry Nice, Asieh Motazedian, Cassandra Rogers and Ashley Broadbent) from the CRCWSC at the conference.

Professor Tapper said the CRCWSC group was the largest to represent an organisation from outside Europe and there had been “a fantastic response to our work.”

Dr Coutts presented two papers including a plenary session. The presenter abstracts can be downloaded at: https://www.meteo.fr/icuc9/presentations.html
