Add your contribution to the development of an improved Benefit: Cost Analysis (BCA) tool
Would a tailored Benefit: Cost Analysis (BCA) tool for assessing water sensitive practices and systems be of interest for you?
The CRC for Water Sensitive Cities (CRCWSC)’s Integrated Research Project 2 (IRP2; Comprehensive economic evaluation framework) is developing just that. The output will be an accepted and well aligned evaluation framework that users can apply to develop business cases and in decision making.
We are inviting CRCWSC participants to get involved by sending information on existing BCA tools currently being used in the water sector, or by discussing your perspectives on the needs and constraints of a new tool.
Participants will have the advantage of being able to directly input into decisions about the design and functionality of the tool, the dataset and the guidelines, and getting early access to the project outputs – so please get in touch!
Simply email tamara.harold@uwa.edu.au to register your interest by 30 June, 2017.
And in progress across IRP2 as a whole, end user insights were gathered via a recent session facilitated at the Water Services Association of Australia’s Adaptive Planning & IWM Network event in Brisbane. Attracting representation from the key water utilities around Australia, the session aimed to discuss the IRP2 project at length, enabling stakeholders to provide context and identify the gaps and challenges that require new tools and approaches.
Generating valuable outcomes via a better understanding of stakeholder needs, the session reflects the type of engagement activities essential to the uptake and acceptance of the framework and tools delivered by IRP2.
