We would love to have all CRCWSC Participant organisations represented at a two-day forum in Melbourne on 5–6 December, to help us develop our next tranche of research and adoption activities.
With the help of our 80+ partners, and over Tranche 1 and Tranche 2 activities, we’ve made significant progress towards revolutionising urban water management. There’s a lot to celebrate, but there is still more to do.
That’s why we’re now looking to the future—to Tranche 3 activities—which will continue to support your organisation in advancing sustainable and resilient urban water management, and we’d love your input.
We are seeking your views on the issues that will shape our future cities, the action needed to respond to those issues, and how Integrated Urban Water Management can contribute.
Our two-day forum in December will build on some broad consultation that has already occurred in all participant states. It will be an important opportunity for us to confirm and consolidate industry needs and priorities across the many sectors our partners represent, which is critical to achieving our goal.
As we look to the future, we want to keep working to:
- ensure Australia remains a global leader in urban water collaboration, research and application
- build on progress relating to the institutions, regulations, technical tools and industry networks necessary to scale up and lock in water sensitive practices
- continue to challenge the status quo and support city transitions with science-based advocacy.
Our first two tranches of research and adoption activities were built on genuine engagement—understanding our partners’ and industry needs and priorities. Engagement is just as important as we look ahead to a potential third wave, and we will value your input in December.
