Get practical at a conservation conference in May
The Central West Councils Environment & Waterways Alliance is partnering with Central Tablelands Local Land Services and Central Tablelands Landcare to hold the ‘Conservation in action: research to reality’ conference in May. At the conference, you’ll meet industry leaders in the conservation field, from scientists to policy makers, program managers, and implementation specialists.
The speakers and workshops will pull together all disciplines of natural resource management (NRM) to demonstrate practical examples across six themes:
- Local threatened species
- Threatening processes
- Waterways management
- Diversity—creating it!
- Habitat linkages
- Practical action.
The conference’s two days of presentations will showcase research findings, case studies, policies, programs and plans for implementing best NRM practice. Additionally, workshops will be held on Tuesday 15 May.
A sponsor of the conference welcome drinks, the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities will launch our first regional case study—Orange stormwater to potable: building urban water supply diversity—at the drinks on 15 May. REGISTER NOW for the welcome drinks.
