Virtual conferences are the new normal. Another one to add to your calendar is the first ever International River Symposium, being held 10–13 November.

Under the theme ‘Valuing our rivers’, the 23rd International River Symposium will focus on excellence, collaboration and integration.

The event remains a unique global forum for river managers, policy developers, scientists, consultants, students, NGOs, indigenous and community organisations and business and industry representatives to collaborate to improve the sustainable management of river basins all over the world.

This year, in light of COVID-19 restrictions, event host the International River Foundation is broadening river networking to global audiences without the need for travel.

As so many conference organisers are discovering, the whole world becomes the venue for the event, crossing boundaries to share and learn from each other.

If you’d like to be part of this virtual conference, you can access the program here and registration details here.
