Abstract

In 2008, Francis Pamminger, Manager, Research and Innovation at Yarra Valley Water, and Steven Kenway, Senior Research Fellow, School of Chemical Engineering, University of Queensland, published a future-oriented view on how the concept of urban metabolism could be of value to the Australian water sector (Pamminger and Kenway, 2008). Four years later, we consider this perspective from the more pragmatic angle of how we can translate this concept into action.
