Urban metabolism for planning water sensitive cities
This report compiles and summarises the research activities leading up to the first milestone for the urban metabolism component of Project B1.2. The output is an urban water metabolism evaluation framework (UMEF4Water), which helps conceptualise urban water management more holistically and generate information about metabolic efficiencies to inform urban and regional planning.
The project brings together the science of urban metabolism with urban and regional planning, to develop a means for generating urban water performance information that can inform strategic urban and regional planning.
