Why choose stormwater biofiltration?

Biofiltration of stormwater runoff is amongst a suite of WSUD tools. Biofilters provide improvements in water quality, downstream hydrology, biodiversity, microclimate, aesthetics, urban greenery, human health and an alternative water supply.

This fact sheet is an appendix to the Adoption guidelines for stormwater biofiltration systems and outlines the benefits of biofiltration of stormwater runoff.

These resources  were developed as part of  Cities as water supply catchments - sustainable technologies  (project C1.1).
