Our research focus 2016 – 2021
Industry-led research
During 2016 we sought to engage with industry representatives across Australia to discuss how progress towards a water sensitive city was going, and to check in on current and future barriers and challenges faced by the urban development and water resource management sectors.
While the need for water sensitive cities remains largely unchanged, the challenges and barriers to achieving this goal continue to evolve.
Elicited industry needs, along with some regionally-important opportunities, provided the basis for designing the second phase, or tranche 2, of the CRCWSC research activities, which will commence in 2016 and conclude in 2021.
Integrated, multidisciplinary research activities
We are entering an exciting phase in expanding the focus from generating knowledge to synthesising, utilising and adopting this knowledge. The focus of our tranche 2 activities will be on applying and testing outcomes delivered in tranche 1 to locally relevant contexts around Australia.
These needs, along with some regionally-important opportunities have provided the basis for designing the second phase or tranche 2 of the CRCWSC that will commence in 2016 and continue through to 2021.
